Small group journeys into the true wilderness of Finnish Lapland

In the far north, winter moves at its own rhythm. The sun disappears for weeks, snow buries the forests, and silence stretches for miles. This is our home – a small base, 200km above the Arctic Circle in the Pallas-Ylläs National Park, where we live with our huskies.

Our Arctic trips are more than tours. They are invitations to join our way of life. You’ll spend a week in a small group of just six guests, sharing meals, saunas, and snowy adventures. Most importantly, you’ll learn how to work with our huskies, as part of the team.

You can also visit anytime, book husky adventures or winter activities separately, or simply rest, recharge, and take it all in at your own pace.

Work Side by Side with Huskies

You’ll learn to feed, harness, and work with huskies – guiding them through the winter trails. By the end of the week, you’ll know what it feels like to truly travel with a husky team.

Accommodation

Our trips are based in cosy cabins or hotel accommodation. Some are traditional cabins, others are modern wooden cabins, or cosy hotel rooms. All are warm, welcoming, and perfectly placed for evenings of stargazing or northern lights.

True Wilderness Setting

Explore the pristine landscapes of Pallas-Ylläs National Park which has the largest cross-country ski trail network in Finland. Snowshoe across untouched fells, ski forest trails, and feel the silence of the Arctic far from busy resorts.

Getting here is easy too: Kittilä Airport is just 40 minutes away, with daily flights from Helsinki and many connections from across Europe.

This programme is suited to those who enjoy outdoor activities, have some experience skiing and a medium level of fitness.

Can I extend my stay?

Yes! Contact us for more information on pre / post nights.

What are the arrival & departure days?

Our 4 day / 5 night programmes usually run from Wednesday – Monday.

How many days are scheduled for activities?

There are three days of guided organised activity (approx 3 – 4 hrs each) and one day with optional extra activities – snowmobile tour, slope skiing or snowboarding and fat bike rental. This gives you the opportunity to enjoy more adventure or take time to relax in the unique environment here.

Do you offer dog sledding?

No — Move with Nature doesn’t offer dog sledding. Our husky experiences are trail walks where you get to know and work alongside our huskies as part of the team, rather than sledding behind them.

Can I come as a solo traveler?

Yes — many of our guests travel solo, and our small-group format (max 6 guests) is built to make that easy and welcoming. You’ll share meals, saunas, and daily activities with the group from day one, so you’re never navigating the trip alone.
