Experience life above the Arctic Circle in Finnish Lapland

These cabins sit in the wild, 25 minutes from the village of Äkäslompolo, with its shops, restaurants and ski slopes. Each cabin has a double bedroom, a living room with a sofa bed, a kitchen, a bathroom and its own sauna. Big windows look out over the lake, the hills and the forest, so the wilderness is right outside and home comforts are inside.

From the cabin you can head out at your own pace: lace up your boots or clip on your skis and follow the trails nearby and around Äkäslompolo and Ylläs. In winter there is snowshoeing, skiing, Northern Lights and husky activities; in summer and autumn, hiking, the midnight sun, lake paddling and berry picking. After a day outside, warm up by the fire or in your private sauna, watch the sun go down, or step out onto the frozen lake to look for the Northern Lights. The cabins suit solo travellers, couples and small groups.
