How it works
Straight to your cabin door
Gear rental is only available to guests staying in the cabins we host near Äkäskero, about 25 minutes from Äkäslompolo. We deliver to those cabins only.
1. Book your dates. Choose skis or snowshoes, how many days (1 to 4) and how many people, then book online. Staying longer? Get in touch and we'll arrange it.
2. We drop it at your door. We bring the gear to your cabin, and we'll agree the drop-off and collection times with you by message.
3. Head out. Trails start right from the cabins. Add our self-guided route & safety package when you book and we'll share our favourite routes and what to look out for along the way.

Questions about ski and snowshoe rental
The Women’s Dog Skiing & Cabin Retreat is a women-only trip for up to 4 guests. Our day tours, retreats and the cabin stays we host welcome everyone: solo travellers, couples, friends and families.
No dog experience is needed; we teach you everything about working with your husky. For the skijoring retreat you need some skiing experience: you should be comfortable on skis and able to brake and turn. If skiing is new to you, arrive a week earlier for a 3–4 day ski course on the Ylläs slopes.
Four nights in two cabins, your own husky partner, all equipment (skis, boots, poles, Fjellpulken pulk, waist belt and harness), guiding and instruction, three vegetarian meals a day, and transfers from Äkäslompolo or Kittilä Airport. You bring your own outdoor clothing and personal snacks.
Äkäslompolo is a village at the foot of Ylläs fell in Kolari municipality, Finnish Lapland, on the edge of Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park. Kittilä Airport is about an hour away and Levi is less than an hour’s drive.
