A movement retreat in Finnish Lapland

Reset & Reconnect is five days of getting outside and moving, in a small group of up to 6 women. Each day brings a different way of travelling through the Arctic landscape: on snowshoes, on skis, on a kick-sled across a frozen lake, and on foot under the Northern Lights.

There’s no experience needed. We teach every skill, set a pace that suits the group, and finish each day warm, fed and rested, with sauna evenings and good vegetarian food.

Morning and evening we stretch and loosen up together, so your body keeps moving well from one day to the next.

A note from Ciara

“The last year was one of the hardest of my life. What helped most wasn’t sitting still. It was getting outside and moving, until things slowly felt lighter. Reset & Reconnect is built around what nature gave back to me and can give you too. I’d love to share it with others.”

— Ciara

How the five days flow

Plans follow the weather and the snow, so the order can change.

Day 1 · Wednesday We meet you in Äkäslompolo or collect you from Kittilä Airport. A gentle stretch after the journey, then dinner together.

Day 2 · Thursday A snowshoe journey through the forest, reading animal tracks in the snow. Sauna in the evening, with a roll in the snow for anyone who fancies it.

Day 3 · Friday A day on OAC sliding snowshoes: short, wide skis that grip on the way up and glide on the way down, with lunch at a wilderness café.

Day 4 · Saturday A cross-country ski lesson on the Ylläs trails, then a kick-sled outing on a frozen lake. After dinner, a Northern Lights walk when the sky is clear.

Day 5 · Sunday A closing journey up to a fell viewpoint, then transfers to Äkäslompolo or Kittilä Airport, finishing early afternoon.
